Dear Diary - er Blog
Blogging gets done about as well as I have been able to put entries into a Diary. I recall many a year that I started out after asking for and recieving a diary getting farther and farther behind in putting in entries. That is about how well I blog. Not often and not well. I hope to change that, but one never knows what the future really holds.
This year has been like that. My mother-in-law, one wonderfully sweet person who has been like a second mother to me, has had some health struggles this year, and is now not supposed to be driving. She hates this most of all. She has lost some independence and is so troubled by it. I take her more often to town now, and help her run errands. I don't mind. It is the right thing to do. I am so glad I have a home business so I can do this for her.
My father has likewise recieved bad news about his health. He is now doing chemo and I am the driver to and from said events. Thankfully this second round of chemo went well and he has felt better. We start it all over again very shortly and I pray he does as well.
All this running has left me a bit short on time for quilting, but I am working as fast and hard as I can to get caught back up.
Did I mention that somewhere along the line I had caught scabies? Yeah, that put me behind some too. All that itching drove me bananas and I was scared I might pass those awful critters on if I handled quilts, so I stayed away until I knew they had vacated their positions on me. Uggh! Hope I never pick those up anywhere ever again! Even a handshake can pass them from one person to another I read online.  My advice is don't sit in padded seats in doctor offices, or shake hands with anyone who is scratching themselves.
Well, today I have trimmed around the sidewalks and under bushes with my new WORX trimmer, and cleaned the sidewalks with the new WORX blower that came with the purchase. I like them so far. The charge might have held a bit longer on the battery, but  since it recharges quickly it was no big deal.
I have taken in another small quilt. I have about finished row 3 of the hand embroidered roses quilt made by Christina. I chose to put crosshatching in the background, though it sure is a pain to line it up repeatedly and as straight as possible. Unfortunately, it was the only background that seemed right for this quilt.
I have fed my husband lunch and supper. And there have been a few phone calls to make as well as the work I have done tonight reworking my website and adding items to the e-shop! It has been a busy day again.
Well, I cannot get into much trouble when I keep working so much. That, as Martha Stewart would say, "is a good thing". So good night for now dear Blog.
