KQC - Gammill Sales
Riddle: What do you get when you cross a Kay's Quilting Corner with an Accomplish Quilting, Inc.?

Answer: You get great service!
Kay's Quilting Corner is the southernmost Indiana extension of Accomplish Quilting, Inc. so we can reach out to you with better service. You now have an option that cuts down your drive time if you live anywhere in the southern Indiana area to find out about these wonderful Gammill machines near you.

Accomplish Quilting is the established dealership that will check your ordered machine according to a 100 item checklist. They will be the ones to deliver the machine to you, and to give you the first day training right after setup is complete. They are the ones who offer you the two free days training, and they are the knowledgeable repairs department. But your follow up free training and continued help can come from me (Kay). And learning about the machines and their options and ordering can be done right here with me so you basically never have to drive to Michigan. Cool, huh? I work closely with the dealership to make sure we serve you the best we can while saving you driving, lodging and food expenses. And I have been doing this quilting as a business for years now. I am qualified to help you.

Classes:
Intermediate free training for those who purchased a machine here or at Accomplish Quilting. Contact KQC  for dates and times. (812)-362-8607. Classes start at 10 AM and end at 4 PM. The first of the two days is Precision Stitch ( the program that runs the machine head) and the second is Autosketch ( the program that lets you create stitching designs. If you have not purchased from AQ or from me each day's class is $250.

Tailor made class: according to what you want to learn. Call and tell me what you want to learn. Specially designed classes are $200 a day.

Creative Studio is the new program just out from Statler folks! What creative potential it holds for those of us who love our computerized driven machines! Thanks Mark (program designer) and all the folks at Statler for the new program, and thanks to Kim for the training.
I have taken the training to be a teacher of the Creative Studio software. I will hold only small classes (max. 3 students per class). First class is set for May 19th. Yep, in 2008. Here at my studio. We will have a lot to learn and a lot of fun. Meal provided. Cost is set as recommended by Gammill/Statler at $150 per day.

We generally recommend you practice and play with the program a couple of weeks after you relieve your machine before taking your free classes. My students have heartily said that was such a wise suggestion. They say they would have been lost to have learned those two days worth right away. Because I am a small studio I will even split the days of classes apart to more separate dates so you can rest in between and let the first days information sink in before taking the second day of class if need be. I really am all about the service to my customers. AQ and I want you to be very happy and comfortable with your purchase.

Why is it important that you go through me as sales rep, and ultimately have Accomplish Quilting as your dealership?

1.Established Business: Accomplish Quilting is a well established business. See their website at http://www.accomplishquilting.com

2. Knowledge  The staff are all knowledgeable when you call for help. Everyone at Accomplish Quilting has done quilting with these machines.

3. IntegrityI have had several people use the same word for my boss, Jeff Benedict. They all call him a man of integrity.

4. Warranty/Repair:These machines have a four year warranty when purchased new, and are built to last a lifetime (at least 40 years I am told) but they occasionally have issues that need repair. Most are small things repairable right at home by the helpful directions given by the guys who know repairs over the phone. But if there are bigger repairs needed, AQ can do them. Jeff knows these machines like the back of his hand, to use a tired cliché' and he also has a part time repair guy named David who is also quite knowledgeable. It is always important  to know that the one you buy from can also fix what you bought if there is a problem, and that there is more than one in place to do the work if something happens to one of them.

5. Classes and supplies: From time to time, AQ brings in great longarm teachers to their company and you are able to go get extra specialty classes there in beautiful Michigan if you so wish. AQ also has many helpful longarm books, threads, tools, batting and all in supplies from which you may order also.

Deal with the best and you won't be disappointed.

Which machine do you NEED? Handguided variety or Statler Computerized variety? Why should you  purchase a Gammill instead of another company's machine?

Why buy Statler computerized?

1. For business: It has been true ever since the industrial revolution that the companies that continue with outdated equipment eventually are left behind.
2. The Statler can do so many designs (over 600) right out of the box, and it can do them with repeated precision at a faster pace than anyone can handguide similar patterns. And now with the new Creative Studio program it does even so much more! We can now fit a pattern to ANY size and shape of block, and
put in backgrounds without stitching over central designs or appliqués!
3. Easier on arm joints and on backs not to have to pull on a machine all day long.

Why buy handguided instead of Statler guided machine?
1. Lower cost.
2. You are quilting for yourself primarily so time is not a factor.
3. You are very creative and don't like the looks of repeated precision work. You want to handguide your own ideas.
4. You just like less precision look because you want it to say it was Hand Done. You like the
person feel created by Hand done work rather than the machine quilted less personal feel.
Don't get me wrong. I am not saying beautiful quilts are not finished by talented creative handguided people and work, there are. It is just harder to get to that level of expertise.

So why buy Gammill handguided or Gammill with Statler rather than a competitor's machines?
1. 4 years parts and labor warranty.
2.The Statler was originally created by Mr. Statler and he used a Gammill machine along side it as he created it, so they work together seamlessly.
3.The company is committed to staying ahead of the competition in design and function. The table or frame of the Gammill is unlike any of the competition's frames so you get the flattest and largest surface for quilting. Very important.
4. It has the heaviest bars to resist any bending.
5. Gammill machines have over 20 exclusive features, so more than I wish to post here. Contact me and I will send you a page that summarizes our benefits.
6. We have extensive supports available. Statler, Gammill, yahoo groups, the dealers, and the sales reps are all here to help you if you have problems.
7. One of the things I like best is that when Mr. Gammill retired he was replaced by several folks so his legacy will continue. Mr. Statler is still at the helm, but he has quite a few young geniuses to keep this business going whenever he steps down. These machines are backed up with years of experience and with the promise of only better things to come.

The frame is THE THING that makes me say, you need a Gammill!
I will also share that I had another brand and model of machine before I had my Gammill. It was a nice machine. It did not give me the same quilting space and so I had to roll the quilt much more often and that meant more starts and stops. The frame did not so easily accomplish a flat finished quilt, and I thought it did a great job running threads, but when I tried my Gammill, I found that I could run more types of thread more easily and with greater accuracy than I did with my previous machine. So I would have to say that you get better tensions when you are taught how to work with your tensions and we do that in your free two days of training.
Am I biased? Of course. But have I reason to be biased besides the fact that I sell these machines? Yes, I think so, and you have just read why I think so. Now, the question is, what do you think? Don't buy anything until you have tried out a Gammill!

Think colors and think pink OR teal!
These once only gray machines can now come in several colors. The special colors are pink and teal. Gammill has joined with Cancer research and the sales of pink and teal heads puts some money into cancer research. See the Gammill site for more info. Each day you can greet your machine saying, "My, don't you look nice today?" I am sure your machine will work its very best after such a nice greeting. :)
These are the nicest finishes! They are like car paint jobs and they have metallic flecks of other colors in the base color. Shiny and beautiful! Well, the colors cost more, but they sure are pretty.
