About

I am Kay Freschly.
I am a grandmother of one beautiful little girl. And a grandson is expected very shortly.
My husband (in photo)has been part of my life now for 34 years.
We have two wonderful grown children and a lovely daughter-in-law.
We live on a grain farm. We share our living spaces with three cats, but the cats are kept out of the quilting studio. Sometimes I attend quilting guilds when time allows and sometimes I even am an officer in a guild. Most of the time finds me quilting for my great customers using my 14 ft long Gammill machines that has the Statler computerized model. I have met so many creative, and nice ladies, and even a few gentlemen who quilt.

Lately I have supported my husband's mother more. I have been glad to be able to help her get around now that she does not drive any longer. I also help my Dad get to chemo treatments.

I am an auxilliary in the Gideon ministry, and an occassional piano player in my church, er, make that piano plunker, but I try. smile.

I also am a representative of Sew Batik, a business that sells hand dyed, batik fabrics that were hand dyed in Indonesia by batik artisans. The fabric is a bit pricey, but it comes in several designs, many colors, and is 108 inches or so wide. You can see their info on their site, and if you live nearby you can come and feel the product and see it for real by coming to my studio. to buy online from

www.SewBatik.com
Please use my sales associate's number when ordering from them. It is LAP-1107.   Thank you.

This is a Christian business because I, Kay, am a Christian. My life is surrendered to the Lord Jesus for His use and to His glory, so all I do is influenced by Him, and that includes my business. You may be wondering why I become a Christian. I can only say it was God's will because honestly the day I became a Christian I was on my way to becoming an atheist, but God had other plans. He placed me in a certain place at a certain time that led to me calling out to Him to challenge Him about His existence, and He answered me. Since then, He has come to my rescue several times, for which I thank Him all the time. He is my comfort, my strength, my Lord, my redeemer.

I will not shove Christianity down your throat when we chat or if you come to my studio. I will be happy to answer anyone's questions to the best of my ability and back up answers with the Bible, and I am happy to offer any customer, or online reader a small pocket sized New Testament. My husband and I belong to the Gideon minsitry and we purchase small New Testaments to give to anyone who wants one. I ask just that you read it for yourself and that you then ask God to show you the truth.

What will you discover if you read it? You will learn that God loves you. It says, ""This is love, not that we first loved God, but that God first loved us. God so loved the world (that includes you) that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever (including  you) believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  It tells you about Jesus' life: the miracles He did, His death on a cross, how He paid the penalty for your sins so you won't ever have to do that, and His resurrection. Love like this is hard to resist. Because this is the only "life" we seem to see, hear, taste, feel, and smell, we often forget to think of an afterlife. The Bible tells us it exists and that we must be saved so we can spend it with Him. A question I get a lot is why does bad happen? I too have wondered about this.I have come to conclude that He thinks on a much larger scale than we do for He is eternal, and we are limited in our time on this earth. We get stuck on the now, but He has our eternity in His consideration, and compared to the hardships that last but a short time here, He has offered us a wonderful eternity of no more tears, no more illness. Looking at our momentary troubles from that view point may help when times are tough.

May God bless you richly and abundantly. Jesus came to bring you life, abundant life, and to give you a peace that the world cannot know. Won't you read about it, and accept it? Accept Jesus and the love He offers? May you have a blessed day.

Many feel that there are multiple ways to "heaven'. That is not what the Bible says, and it issues this warning. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), and "There is none righteous, no not one." (Romans 3:10).  There is  a way that the Bible says God provided to save us from our sins. "For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life IN JESUS CHRIST our Lord." Romans 6:23  "Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God." (I John 4:15), " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world THROUGH HIM might be saved. He who believes in him is not condemned; but he who does not believe in Him is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Folks, please think on these verses. If you do not currently believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven, and if the Bible is the truth then you are surely taking a huge risk with your eternity because according to the Bible, all the other ways out there that supposedly will get you to heaven: good works, church affiliation, other religions, all have put you into condemnation already. Is that not what the verses above are saying? I am not saying this. It is clearly stated in the Bible verses above, isn't it?  Ask today for a free New Testament if you don't own a Bible. I will gladly send one to you. Read it for yourself. Find out the truth before it becomes too late.

*The Gideon International is a ministry arm of the church which is composed of business and professional men (and auxilliary women) whose only real goal is to lead men, women, boys, and girls to the saving knowledge of the Lord, Jesus Christ. We do this by placing free Bibles in hotel rooms, handing out free new testaments in various venues and around the world. Local church funds given to us go 100% to purchasing Bibles handed out in poor countries. Gideons themselves pay for Bibles placed in motel rooms, hospitals, nursing homes, doctor offices, and handed out personally. Our dues keep the headquarters functioning. If you are my customer and would like to receive a free New Testament that contains the Psalms and Proverbs also, just ask me for it. Sometimes we get so busy discussing the quilts that I forget to mention the Bibles until you are gone. If you are interested in becoming a Gideon and you fit the description of a business or professional man, or the wife of one, let me know.
